Texas Keeper Cider is currently hiring for a full time general operations assistant for the Cidery!  

We are a small cidery in Manchaca (far south Austin), Texas.  We are located on a piece of old ranchland with a Taproom next door to the cellar that's open on the weekends.  Weekdays are spent in production, with 3-4 vintage periods per year.

We're looking for a Jack/Jill of all trades!  Duties would include:

Product bottling/kegging (~ 9 hrs/wk)

Labeling (~ 5 hrs/wk)

Deliveries (1-2 days/wk)

Cellar work (1-2 day/wk, more during busier vintage times of year)

Various land maintenance, simple repair (like fixing a leaky faucet) (approx. 3-5 hrs/wk)

Essential skills/qualities for the job include:

-An interest in the cidermaking/winemaking/brewing field

-Attention to detail and a commitment to quality control

-A desire to get through a task as efficiently and thoroughly as possible

-Some basic tool use/handyperson ability or at least a willingness to figure it out from youtube videos

-Ability to lift 50 lbs

-Clean driving record

-Comfortable standing for a total of ~ 9 hours

-General keenness!

Preferred Skills

-Familiarity with winery/brewery equipment and sanitation 

-Some experience operating a forklift

This is a chance to work for a small, local business committed to making high quality craft cider.  We're nice people and having worked for jerks ourselves, we strive to be fair employers, but as a small and relatively new business, the right person for this position needs to comfortable with a non-corporate work environment and flexibilty.

Standard work week will be 38-42 hours per week with comp time and paid vacation.  Pay commensurate with experience.
