We're on a roll in 2018 with our second CHIX Brunch of the year, and this time we're so excited to be benefitting Brooke Elementary's sustainability program! You may have heard of Brooke recently when KUT ran a story about their amazing extracurricular programs (read it here), including a backyard chicken flock, organic gardening, beehives and even goats! All of these programs aim to help the school maintain enrollment, as rising housing costs in the area tend to push families out. The animals also helps the students on an emotional level (as anyone who has fed a goat or held a chicken knows). Texas Keeper Cider, Puli-Ra and Two Hives Honey have joined forces to help Brooke raise money towards a new hive, a shed for their goats and LED lights for their marquee, amongst other green projects. We'll have live music, good company, good food, good cider, all for a good cause - it just makes you feel all good inside!
Okay, okay, you say, but what about the menu? Check it out:
